Porto San Paolo – Tavolara

Several dozen swimmers meet every year in Porto San Paolo to participate in a swimming competition that takes place over a distance of about 5km between the coast and the island of Tavolara.

These are two free swimming competitions that take place on different days. The first leg, which took place in 2022 held on 3 July, it starts from Porto San Paolo and ends on the island of Tavolara. The second leg, yes will take place on 2 October 2022, begins on the island and ends on the beach of Porto Taverna.

Part of the Sardinia open water swimming circuit, this event is sponsored by the marine protected area of Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo and the Municipality of Loiri Porto San Paolo. Many consortium members of the Tavolara Archipelago also collaborate in the initiative, including Mare Azzurro and Tavolara ferries and trips.
